One of the webcomics I read, MS Paint Adventures, has a group of characters that turn up occasionally called the Midnight Crew, who are a sort of combination of 20s Gangsters and Jazz Musicians (Sounds odd, but it works well). They were only a bit of a recurring joke until fairly recently, when they had an entire interval arc to themselves. I mentioned they were partly jazz musicians, and as part of the webcomic soundtrack they actually created an entire album named Drawing Dead that is supposed to be composed by this fictional band. Anyway, it's very moody, jazzy stuff and fits very well with the theme of our group. Have a little listen. homestuck.bandcamp.com/album/midnight-crew-drawing-dead-2I've torrented the entire album.

I particularly like Knives & Ivory, Moonshine, Liquid Negrocity and Nightlife.
I'll do a little bit of reading into LUA scripting- I know it's something we can manage, with permission from the artists. Would they have radios in 1920s? We can probably procure models for, like, gramaphones and jukeboxes as well. We'll look into this.
Edit: Unless we plan to model them ourselves, gramophones are not on the menu. I'll fish around, see what else would have been used.
